Five Geeky Maternity Costumes

Just because you are pregnant on Halloween does not mean you can’t partake in the fun. We turned to our friends at Etsy to find the best-of-the-best geeky maternity costumes just for you. No matter how pregnant you are, these are sure to be a hit with friends and family.

Nothing says trick-or-treat like a little bit of both! Whether you’re a die-hard horror fan, or you are just looking for something to spook your friends, this hilarious costume is the way to go. Doll arms, fake blood, and even a little pumpkin pail create the illusion that someone is ready to come out and join the fun early.

HeartMadeCraftShop, the makers, assure us that it can also be done for twins (or more!) at a slight upcharge.

With the new Fallout game just around the corner and the massive success this summer of Mad Max: Fury Road, it’s no secret that everyone wants to get in on the post-apocalyptic wasteland genre this Halloween. Mom-to-be, don’t worry! SweetDarknessDesigns made sure you will not be left out.  Whether you want to be a rebellious bride of Immortan Joe, or a vault dweller, this costume is perfectly tattered and shredded.

Nightmare mode: pair it with makeup and fake blood to become a pregnant walker from The Walking Dead.

Ok, so they may not be geeky to the max, but who doesn’t love Doctor Seuss? This adorable idea of a costume comes to us from Etsy seller, PetreeHouseCreations and it’s the perfect, simple, comfortable costume for first-time moms.

Having twins? Don’t worry– you can still Seuss it up too!

Are you early on in your pregnancy? Don’t be spooked by the lack of options for you! Materniteees prints these adorably nerdy designs on regular tees for those who aren’t showing but still want to let everyone know they have a Toad in the Mushroom Kingdom.

And don’t worry if you are not exactly a gamer. There are tons of other designs, including comic book characters and many other spooky critters if you take a peek through their store

Along those same lines, CherryTees also advises that you purchase a size up if you want to show off the bones of your little superhero within. While they are not directly selling maternity shirts, they have plenty of sizes to help accommodate most.

We love this take on the classic skeleton t-shirt so many of us had the fortune (or misfortune) of getting to wear during childhood. Not only is the baby idea cute, but they have dozens of different designs for which class of geekery your little one fits into. Cruise their shop for more options!
